Here are some important things to remember as you develop your own emotional courage, meaningfully:
1. Lean-in to your feelings
Open your heart to what you feel. Accepting pain, grief, loss, and regret is the true cornerstone of resilience and authentic happiness.
2. Actively generate emotional agility
When you feel a tough emotion, learn what the emotion is telling you. You are not the emotion. It’s important to learn this distinction, and respond with value-based actions.
3. Do not add buffers between you and reality
We all die, and it’s normal to be scared. Emotional courage enables you to face your fragility head-on.
