We are deeply saddened to share that Charles Alexander Staebler III has passed away. Charles died on Monday, April 20, 2020 in Louisville, KY, USA at the age of 74. Charles was born in Chicago, IL, USA on Thursday, May 3, 1945.
I was very fond of Mr. Staebler, having known him for many years through my friendship with his son Mike. Mr. Staebler was a man who could casually impart wisdom and insights, teaching you about life and yourself, while at the same time making you laugh. I have many great memories of him from camping and hiking in scouting, boating and skiing on Taylorsville lake, grilling out or playing pool at the house on Weather Way, and more. I respect him for his service to our nation and community, for being a man of principle, honor, character, and faith. His hearty laughter, welcoming smile, and big heart will be greatly missed. My thoughts are with his family as they grieve the loss of their beloved patriarch, a man I was lucky enough to meet and get to know, and a man who led a life many would do well to emulate. This world was better for having you in it Chuck, and will never be the same without you. Godspeed.
